Black Spider is the name of our sambo academy. This name means a lot as it relates to significant meanings, the colour of black is associated with power; fear; mystery; strength and authority. Spider is an arachnid that represents creativity; patience and strength and it invites you to become more receptive and intuitive and to rely on your unique gifts to get you ahead in life.

 

At Black Spider Academy we have brought up a different style of martial arts in the UK, which is sambo. Sambo is a martial art that teaches you how to defend yourself without weapons, also it improves confidence, fitness, creativity as well as mental health.

Sambo groups different forms of martial arts into one sport (judo, wrestling, striking, and ju-jitsu. This martial art is very safe and it suits all ages. The sambo equipment protects you from getting injuries that are possible in many other combat sports as you have a full set that protects you from head to toe.
